Halo/Walking on Sunshine ist ein Song aus der sechsten Episode der ersten Staffel, Angeregte Organismen, und wird von Mercedes und Rachel mit den New Directions-Mädchen beim Mash-Up-Wettkampf gesungen. Nachdem Rachel von Kurt erfahren hat, dass die Jungs für ihre Performance Aufputschmittel von Terri bekommen haben, beschließt sie ebenfalls welche für die Mädchen zu besoorgen, um den Wettkampf ebenbürtig zu gestalten.
"Halo" stammt von Beyoncé aus ihrem dritten Album "I Am...Sasha Fierce" aus dem Jahr 2008.

- Während des Songs setzt sich Kurt, als komödiantische Erwiderung auf die hellen Kleider der Mädchen, eine Sonnenbrille auf.
- Die Kleider, die die Mädchen bei ihrem Auftritt tragen, sind Designerstücke. Brittany trägt Kimichi Blue, Mercedes ein speziell für sie angefertigtes Kleid, Quinn Calvin Klein, Rachel Shoshanna, Santana BCBG Max Azaria und Tina Betsey Johnson. Tinas Kleid war eigentlich weiß, aber die Kostümbildner haben es gelb eingefärbt.
